Wildlife & Pest Control Technician

Our technicians perform pest and wildlife control services to a variety of residential, commercial, and municipal customers. Each tech is assigned to a territory and may be responsible for managing that specific area. The technician will be accountable for removing and preventing nuisance wildlife from homes or businesses, including bats, squirrels, raccoons, groundhogs, and skunks. Our techs work directly with clients and utilize an extensive assortment of products, procedures, and professional approaches to remove wildlife.

Position Duties:

Provide wildlife management services with a professional, friendly, courteous, and kind attitude
Drive and operate the company vehicle to customer sites
Identify pest issues, conduct inspections, and develop management strategy solutions for wildlife removal in compliance with state, industry, and company standards
Enhance knowledge by participating in training opportunities
Meet requirements for licensing and safety regulations
Maintain tool inventory, equipment, and other necessary materials
Organize workload and complete client jobs in a timely manner
Communicate clearly and tactfully with clients

Candidate Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and a decent driving record
Career-oriented, long-term focused
Be personable, have good verbal and writing skills, and have good personal hygiene
Able to problem solve and maintain well-organized records
Be an outdoor enthusiast and not be squeamish when working with animals or insects
Have the agility, physical fitness, and capability to regularly maintain moderate physical activity levels throughout the day, including moving extension ladders
Not be afraid of heights; having a willingness to work on rooftops is a must
Be mechanically inclined and good at working with tools. Building experience is a bonus
Have a flexible schedule and be prepared to work extended hours (sometimes weekends)

Restoration Crew

Members of Creature Control’s restoration crew remediate and restore areas of houses that have been damaged by wildlife activity. Work is primarily carried out in attics, crawlspaces, and basements and involves cleaning up, bagging, and disposing of materials damaged by wildlife. Restoration crew members will also be expected to remove and replace insulation, use disinfectants and paints, and perform some light carpentry. Personal protective equipment and work uniforms are provided to team members by Creature Control. Pay is hourly, with raises and promotions merit-based and benefits include bonuses, as well as health, dental, and vision insurance.

Position Duties:

Be able to sustain moderate levels of physical activity throughout the day
Be punctual, pay attention to detail, and have good hygiene and cleaning practices
Be comfortable working with heights and enclosed spaces (such as attics and crawlspaces)
Understand that work will occasionally require travel and overnight stays; expenses all covered by the company
Possess good communication skills
Have some competency with basic tools

Office Staff Team Member

Efficiently scheduling routes for field technicians
Quickly solving or passing along current customer questions and inquiries
Accurately processing incoming information for data collection
Assisting and supporting our technicians in the field
Following up with existing customers for feedback and other purposes

Ideal Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree
Exceptional communication skills
Prior sales/pest control industry experience
A strong desire to thrive in a supportive role
